| "A
strong, lively faith is the foundation of all virtue."
Catherine McAuley devoted her life to serving the poor, sick and uneducated
of Dublin, Ireland. In 1831, she founded the Sisters
of Mercy: an organization committed to the service of others. Today, Catherine’s
strength and work live on through Sisters of Mercy organizations around
the world.
Throughout her life, Catherine
maintained a compassionate focus on the needs of others and even on her
deathbed, she urged her followers to “Be sure to you have a comfortable
cup of tea for them when I am gone.” With her compassion and dedication
in mind, Catherine’s Comfortable Tea was created by the Catherine
McAuley Center in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Every tea bag contains an insightful
quote from Catherine McAuley to ponder as you sip your cup of Catherine’s
Comfortable Tea.
